Advocate Manisha T. Karia is an Advocate-on-Record in the Supreme Court of India having more than 16 years of experience of practice in Mumbai and New Delhi. She completed her LLB in the year 2000 from ILS Law College, Pune and started her practice with leading law firms in Mumbai specializing in corporate, tax, and intellectual property laws. She shifted her base to New Delhi in 2004 and since then has been practicing independently before Supreme Court of India, High Court of Delhi and other forums such as Company Law Board, erstwhile MRTP Commission, Competition Commission of India, Competition Appellate Tribunal, National Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, State Consumer Commission, Employees’ Provident Fund Appellate Tribunal, National Green Tribunal, Appellate Tribunal For Electricity and Debt Recovery Tribunal etc.

 

Advocate Manisha has been practicing and handling cases independently with a result oriented approach, both professionally and ethically and has now acquired excellent professional experience in providing legal consultancy and advisory services.

 

Advocate Manisha provides services in various fields of civil matters, matters relating to taxation, service law, consumer protection, insurance, family disputes, arbitration, rent control, criminal, prevention of corruption, negotiable instruments, environment, intellectual property rights, company law, land acquisition, cooperative societies, tender matters etc. Before Supreme Court of India, she has represented corporate as well as individual clients in civil as well as criminal matters involving Special Leave Petitions, Writ Petitions, Transfer Petitions, Statutory Appeals and other Miscellaneous Applications. She also has been handling high-end Tax litigations before Supreme Court of India and representing more than 300 corporate and individual clients.

 

Advocate Manisha has been representing multinational and Indian companies, public sector undertakings, statutory bodies, governments and private individual clients. She is a co-author of the book “Electronic Evidence” published by Lexis-Nexis Butterworth. She has been regularly writing Articles in the legal magazine, FLAIR published by All India Reporter. She is a trained Mediator from International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution, New Delhi and has successfully handled several mediations. She has been appointed on the panel of advocates for State of Maharashtra before Supreme Court of India since 2014.

 

Advocate Manisha is in the panel of National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE). She is also in the panel of Amicus Currie of the Supreme Court of India since 2014. She has extensively spoken on various subjects at national and international conferences including at National Judicial Academy, Bhopal and in National Seminar on Current Issues on Taxation Laws held in January, 2014 at ILS Law Collage, Pune in 2014, National Conference for Women CA members under the aegis of Women Members Empowerment Committee of ICAI, HO organised by Pune Branch of WIRC of ICAI
