Having been a keen debater in school and college, and a topper in moot courts in law, he decided that he would earn his bread by his spoken word. The initial years of practice were complimented by assignment as a part-time lecturer in law between 1973-76, during which time he also authored two books, Tulsi’s Digest of Accident Claims Cases and Goswami and Tulsi’s Landlord & Tenant Cases, both of which were published by the Eastern Law House, Calcutta.

When it comes to top criminal lawyers in Delhi, Mr. KTS Tulsi’s name is at the top of many lists. KTS Tulsi began his career as an academic writer and rapidly developed an interest in the criminal law. KTS Tulsi started practicing law in 1980. His experience in criminal law includes his appointment as a Special Prosecutor against terrorists in Punjab, Delhi, and Assam.

With the terrorist troubles in Punjab, few lawyers were willing to step up and prosecute the terrorists. This tremendously difficult and challenging responsibility was not one that Mr. Tulsi shied away from. Even to the point of taking responsibility for prosecuting ‘A’ grade terrorists including the cases of Operation Black Thunder.

With the highest respect from the legal establishment and with his incisive legal acumen, KTS Tulsi was appointed as the Additional Solicitor General of India in the year 1990. Mr Tulsi has been involved heavily in the intricacies of TADA Act.

Additionally, KTS Tulsi was elected as the president of the Criminal Justice Society of India. KTS Tulsi is included in an elite group of top criminal lawyers not just in Delhi but across India.  Access to justice has always been central to his modus operandi. More recently Tulsi took on the case of Devendra Pal Singh Bhullar.

KTS Tulsi has been a nominated member of Rajya Sabha.
